DAY 1: TANGER – FEZ

Meeting at the airport in Tanger and transfer to city of Fez, the oldest of the four imperial cities of Morocco. Fez, the spiritual capital of Morocco. Interesting city, the old Medina which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Arrival in Fez, accommodation in a Riad. Free time to relax. Bed and breakfast.

DAY 2: FEZ – FEZ

One day to discover the cultural capital of Morocco. Many monuments you can visit: Medersas (Koranic schools): Chahrij, Bouinania Attarin. Souks, Fez El-Jedid, Karaouine Mosque (the first university in the world).

DAY 3: FEZ – MIDELT

Departure to Midelt via Ifrane, also known as the Switzerland of Morocco. Our drive takes us through Azrou cedar forest where we enjoy watching the monkeys indigenous to this region and then continue via the Middle Atlas Mountains. Arrival in Midelt for your hotel accommodation.

DAY 4: MIDELT – MERZOUGA DESERT

We will follow via the Ziz Valley and its gorges to the town of Errachidia. We will continue to the town of Erfoud, famous for being the capital of fossils. When we arrive in Merzouga we take the camels to the camp for the night in the middle of the dunes under a nomadic tent.

DAY 5: MERZOUGA DESERT – ERG CHEBBI

After breakfast we will begin the grand tour of the dunes, passing through many villages in the desert, one of them are the people of Khamlia where you enjoy the music of Gnawa. We then continue via the nomadic desert where people live in their haimas, here you will discover a new sense of life … in the afternoon you will take the camels to the camp for the night in the middle of the dunes under a nomadic tent.

DAY 6: MERZOUGA DESERT – THE TODRA GORGES

Rise up early and climb the dunes to watch the beautiful sunrise, then ride the camels back where we can shower and take breakfast. We continue to the Gorges via Rissani where we visit the traditional Souk which is considered the largest throughout the South of Morocco, continue to Todra Gorges. Night in the middle of the Gorges.

DAY 7: TODRA GORGES – OUARZAZATE

Breakfast and walk a little further into the groves prior to the Dades Valley. Our drive takes us through the Valley of Roses, and on to the oasis of Skoura with its kasbahs and palms. Arrival in Ouarzazate city for your hotel accommodation.

DAY 8: OUARZAZATE – AIT BENHADDOU

After breakfast and before going to Marrakech we will visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou where they have recorded many films, including the Sahara, The Kingdom of Heaven, Gladiator and Cleopatra. We will travel over the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka. On the side of the mountains we will see Berber villages and farms.

DAY 9: MARRAKECH – MARRAKECH

A day to discover Marrakech charms and its historical monuments: Menara gardens and basin, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, Dar Si Said Museum, Bahia Palace and the Djemaa El Fna with its souks.

DAY 10: MARRAKECH – ESSAOUIRA

We leave Marrakech after the breakfast to visit this typical city of Essaouira (Mogador), its beach and old doors. We will spend the day there and will visit all the medina of this old city, eat and rest. Essaouira / or Optional Marrakech accommodation (2hrs distance).
