Excursions and Day trip from Fez

Located in a prime location at the foot of the Rif Mountains, Chefchaouen is a city that has combined perfection with authenticity unspoiled with the arrival of tourism. It is one of the jewels of Morocco. We pick you up at the hotel or riad where you are staying early in the morning, we head north to reach to the Rif area, home to Chefchaouen, our destination. You will have 5 hours of free time to explore the city at your leisure. Inside the Medina you should not miss the Uta el-Hammam (the heart of the city and the ideal place to eat), the Grand Mosque (with a curious octagonal tower) and the Kasbah Square (containing a garden, a museum and gallery of art). Leaving the medina, the most famous spot is the Ras El-Maa waterfall, where the sound of water and the green hills provide a large dose of fresh air. If you continue walking, you will obtain a beautiful view of the city. We will be back in Fez about 19:00. The tour will end in your accommodation or where you want. Local Guide.

This tour will meet three of the most amazing places in Morocco. It is an essential tour for anyone visiting Fez. After picking you up at your hotel or riad at 9:00 am, we head west to get to the ancient Roman city where there are the most important archaeological remains of Morocco. In Volubilis you will have free time to visit the area. We will be there as long as you need, usually between 1 and 2 hours. If desired, at the entrance you can hire an official guide in English. After enjoying the impressive Roman remains we approach Moulay Idriss, one of the most important pilgrimage centers of country. It’s a small town where you can see the most interesting points of the Medina in under an hour. The third stop will be Meknes, the more “humble” of the Four Imperial Cities of Morocco. Here you will have free time for lunch and can visit the most important places of the city, step into its souk or enjoy a coffee in the square. About 18:00 we head back to Fez. We’ll let you off at the hotel or wherever you would like.

On this tour we will visit Sefrou and its waterfalls, the caves at Bhalil, Ifrane and its European environment, Azrou and its cedar forest plagued by monkeys. After picking you up at the hotel or riad at 9:00 am, we head to Sefrou, a small town located 30 kilometers southeast of Fez. The most interesting features are its waterfalls or take a short walk through the Medina, divided by a river. Leaving Sefrou, we reach Bhalil, a beautiful mountain village famous for its houses built in caves. We may enter into a private house for mint tea. The next stop is Ifrane, one of the most intriguing cities in Morocco for its architecture and its European environment.

In Ifrane is one of the most famous universities in the country and is the favorite destination of wealthy Moroccans. To end the day we visit the cedar forest of Azrou, famous for the Great Cedar Gouraud, the ancient cedar, largest in the region. It is inhabited by hundreds of monkeys, the same Barbary monkeys of Gibraltar, if you are lucky you will able to feed them. We return back to Fez and we will leave you at the hotel (or wherever you please) between 18:00 and 19:00.
