DAY 1: MARRAKECH – DEMNATE – IMI N’IFRI – HAPPY VALLEY
In the heart of high atlas mountain range and away from the crowds and noise of Marrakech, you can enjoy this 2 days trip filled with sceneries and pleasant enviable views. Ait Bougamez Valley, which the French people gave the nickname “happy valley” because of its colourful fields of apples trees, walnuts and the large number of vegetables. For you to get to this paradise; we will start form your destination (Riad or hotel), and travel towards the first stopover of Demnate so you can discover Tassaout valley and the Mellah (Jewish city). The natural formed bridge of Imi n Ifri is a bridge like cave formed 180 million years, it is 200 m high lime stone structure and is the main tourist draw to this area. After having lunch with a local family Berber in Ait Bougamez, we’re going to visit the dinosaur’s footprints on our way to the happy valley, going through also great and fantastic landscapes like the conventional Berber villages and towering cliffs, of course we’re ready to stop whenever and wherever you want for photos or whatever our needs are. Once we arrive in the happy valley, we are going to visit a collective store of Ait Bougamez people which was built in the 16th century by the Jewish people. We will overnight in a traditional guest house, enjoying a Berber dinner.
DAY 2: AIT BOUGAMEZ – AZILAL – OUZOUD WATERFALLS – MARRAKECH
After breakfast, we’re going back to Marrakech, but by a different route because we want you to discover another part of high atlas. We cross the Ait Abbas valley in order to explore the red Berber architecture, and a long pine forest. After passing Azilal, the main town of the central high atlas, we’re stopping at Ouzoud waterfalls; the second highest waterfalls in Africa, a magnificent 110 m high cascade with three tiers. We’re having lunch in front of the waterfalls in order to enjoy the best views of the strong spray which produces beautiful rainbows. After that we’re driving the two hours and half to get back to Marrakech on yet another different route.
