Private tour from Marrakech to Chefchaouen

DAY 1: MARRAKECH – OUARZAZATE – KELAAT M’GOUNA

We will go to Ouarzazate. After the pass of Tizi-n-Tishka (2260 m), we follow the road of thousands of Kasbahs. We travel to Kasbu Ait Ben Haddou (UNESCO World Heritage List) past small Berber villages. Then go to Ouarzazate, the gateway to the desert and Hollywood in Africa, where famous films such as Gladiator, Sahara, Prince of Persia, Babylon were shot. We will travel via Skoura valley and arrive in the Roses valley (Kelaat M’gGouna). Here annually in May there is a grand festival of harvest, the villages are decorated with garlands of fragrant roses, and traditional music and dances are performed on the street. DAY 2: KELAAT M’GOUNA – TODRHA – DESERT

We will crossing the Saghro mountains, here you will also see the traditional Berber culture of the Bedouins. Further we travel through Dades valley and picturesque gorge. On the way, we visit Khettara, is an old system of water supply by the nomads. We reach Merzouga and head for the great sand dunes, where you will see a magical sunset. Accommodation in the desert bivouac.

DAY 3: DESERT – AZROU – IFRAN – FES

Meeting the sunrise. We travel along a long, picturesque road, heading north to the Atlas past the Ziz Valley. Then the route passes through the grassy plains (in winter), where you can see nomads from the tribe of Ait Atta Tafukshit, who graze sheep and goats. Then we follow the roads of the Middle Atlas into the cedar forest of Azrou, famous for its ancient cedars and monkeys. Then we go past the city of Ifran, “Moroccan Switzerland” it’s like a piece of respectable Europe accidentally brought to North Africa, and we arrive in the city of Fez. Accommodation in Riad.

DAY 4: FES – VOLUBILIS – CHEFCHAOUEN

Visit to Fes with local guide. The city has been called the “Mecca of the West” and the “Athens of Africa”. Next we will go to the amazing blue city, Chefchaouen. We travel through the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, located near the city of Moulay Idris. Volubilis are an interesting sight, as there are not so many evidence of the presence of Rome on the African continent. The triumphal arch of the III century was well preserved. Arrival in Chefchaouen. Accommodation in hotel.

DAY 5: CHEFCHAOUEN – FES

A walk through the city of Chefchaouen is a city with a rich history, picturesque nature and beautiful ancient architecture. However, its main feature is the color of the runaways from the slopes of buildings, most of which are painted in various shades of blue. The combination of all the advantages of Chefchaouen makes it one of the most beautiful and popular cities in the world. After a walk we will travel to Fes. The majestic city walls, the labyrinths of Medina and the wonderfully preserved old city, made Fez one of Morocco’s favorite destinations. Accommodation in Riad.

DAY 6: FES – MARRAKECH – AIRPORT

Travel through the picturesque Itran. Then we follow the village of Beni Mellal, located in the heart of the Middle Atlas Mountains. Arrival in Marrakech. Free time and transfer to the airport.
